As the world transitions to renewable energy, our ambition is to lead the way and be the sustainable and trusted provider of smart and sustainable energy solutions.
Our vision of a sustainable energy transition and a fair world is at the heart of everything we do, from financing to building and operating energy solutions. Our sustainability work is based on a thorough analysis of our business where we have identified material sustainability issues with clear focus areas and strategy going forward.
The material sustainability topics are grouped in three themes; environment and climate, people and society and responsible corporate governance. In the analysis, we identified how we can reduce negative impacts of our operations and how we can increase positive ones, resulting in our sustainability targets.
Together with our sustainability work and policy, our overall target of 1 GW of operational solar power, the Sustainability Development Goals, and our commitment to the UN Global Compact, we are turning our vision into reality.
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a call to action for all countries – poor, rich and middle-income – to take action to promote prosperity while protecting the planet. The goals confirm that poverty reduction must go hand in hand with strategies that build economic growth and address a range of social needs, including education, health, social protection and jobs, while tackling climate change and protecting the environment.
We support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and to help achieve them by 2030, we have chosen to focus on the SDGs that have a clear link to our business:

For us, sustainable business is a matter of course, which means that we work hard to live up to high principles in human rights, labor law, the environment and anti-corruption.
That’s why we are participants of the United Nations Global Compact, which means that we are actively and fully committed to work with the Ten Principles – in everything we do. This commitment is not only a matter of taking responsibility for society and the environment, but is also a central part of building a long-term successful and sustainable business.
By systematically working with the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact, Sunna ensures that our sustainability commitment is a living and constantly evolving part of our business.
